Galena Bachelorette Travel Guide
August 22nd - 25th of 2024 I had my bachelorette at the beautiful Galena, IL.
If you know me, this is like my second home! It was the perfect place to have my bachelorette and my girlfriends and I had the best time ever! Instead of just telling you about it.. Why don’t I show you, too!
Night One
We stayed in the Galena Territories in this beautiful cabin! It is called the Frogmore Cabin. I highly recommend this cabin for anyone going up to the Galena area and staying with a big party! This place was stunning!
My friends of course decked the place out!
Of course my friends embarrassed me and crowned me The Future Real House Wife and Queen of the Wine Social Club for the weekend!
For the first night we stayed in the cabin.
It had a lovely hot tub that we used.
We played games..
… and opened some gifts while having a PJ party.
Night/Day 2
It blows my mind that people don’t know that there’s two locations for Galena Cellars!
I’m advocate for going to their “country” location where they make their wine!
The other location is in downtown Galena, but in my opinion, it’s not as fun as going to the actual Vineyard!
We got there as soon as it opened.. So probably 11am lol
The vibe for the day was florals!
For those of you who are not familiar with the Galena area, it is very close to the borders of A. Wisconsin and B. Iowa.
The choices for going out “clubbing” were very limited and I planned it that way on purpose. If you know me to my core, I am not a going out kind of gal. I’m more of a sit at home and drink wine and go to bed by 9pm, hence the vibe of my bachelorette, but I thought I should try and rally for one night.
So.. we hit the streets of Iowa.
The theme of the night was Metallic or Neon. - & yes every outing had a theme that’s what makes it fun!
We ended up at The Dungeon per my cousin’s recommendation…
We were about to leave, but then the Bouncer became our friend and we ran into someone we knew and ended up staying a little longer than expected. I highly Recommend this place if you’re ever in the area and looking for a bar to go to!
The Last Day/Night
First of all.. look at downtown Galena! It’s like living in a Hallmark Movie!
During the day we went shopping in Downtown Galena which is a MUST.
My sister-in-laws then met up with all of us for a champagne tasting at Champagne on Main in downtown.
It was amazing, but I’ll let the photos speak for themselves!
After our fun little outing, we quickly went back to the cabin where some of us had to get dressed quickly for a psychic reading by Chris McBrien.
I highly recommend this if you are into this kind of thing.. I definitely am! It was one of the things I wanted to do on my Bach trip so a few of us who were into it did it, while the others took a cat nap at the cabin!
Once our AMAZING reading was over with Chris, we met up with the other girls at Vinny Vanucchi’s for my RIP Last Name Dinner.
We CLOSED the restaurant down lol no joke.. the boys closing the restaurant let us up on the bar! I think this night was my favorite for sure! The food and the wine is amazing, too! I can’t wait to go back!
RIP MISS P
The next day, we all had to depart, sadly.
We did get a very hungover breakfast at the historical Desoto House Hotel.
Since we were hungover there were no photographs taken, sorry folks!
I really hope that anyone who has never been to Galena, IL and read this goes! It is one of my favorite places to go and there’s so many things to do! I could honestly write another travel blog about it that’s not bachelorette oriented if you guys are interested! Please let me know!
Much Love,
Emma Fran
